Ad library Chrome extension alternative with no install
An ad library Chrome extension is a browser add-on that sits on top of the Facebook Ad Library page and adds the buttons Meta never built. The ones people actually install, Ad Library Cloud, Ad Library Helper, AdLibNote, Meta Ad Library Viewer and Facebook Ad Library Insights, all do roughly the same three jobs: put a save button on each ad, download the video or image so it does not vanish when the campaign stops, and surface details the library buries, like how many days an ad has been running and which domain it points at. Those are real gaps, and the extensions do close them.
The ceiling shows up the moment you want to do research rather than collect. An extension can only act on what is already rendered in your browser tab, so you have to find the advertiser first, open their page yourself, and scroll. It cannot answer a question like which of 40 skincare brands launched a new video hook this week. Most of these add-ons are Facebook and Instagram only, so Google, TikTok and YouTube stay invisible. They break whenever Meta reshuffles its markup, they need Chrome on a desktop, and several ask for permission to read and change data on every site you visit.
AdEye is a web app, so there is nothing to add to Chrome and nothing to update when Meta changes its HTML. You search by brand or domain and get that advertiser's live Google ads in one feed, read from the Google Ads Transparency Center. It is a different library from the one the Meta extensions decorate, so treat it as coverage of a brand's Google advertising rather than a Meta replacement. Every ad comes back AI-tagged by hook, angle and format, with run length attached, so the creatives carrying real budget sort to the top instead of you eyeballing a grid. Saving to a swipe file and sharing it with a client are part of the app rather than a separate cloud add-on.

Why it works
What an ad library Chrome extension can and cannot do
Search, not just save
An extension acts on the advertiser page you already opened. AdEye resolves a brand name or a domain to the advertiser Google knows and returns their whole live set, rather than whatever one page happens to have rendered.
A different library entirely
Almost every ad library Chrome extension is Facebook and Instagram only. AdEye reads Google's Ads Transparency Center instead, covering the Search, Shopping, Display and YouTube ads those extensions never see.
Nothing to install or trust
No Chrome Web Store permissions to review, no add-on reading the pages you visit, and nothing that breaks the next time Meta changes its markup. It runs in any browser, including on a laptop you do not admin.
What it surfaces
Every ad card carries the hook, angle and a working signal
You type a brand or a domain. AdEye pulls that advertiser's live public Google ads into one feed and AI-tags each creative on the paid plans, so you read the strategy and spot the long-running winners before you save a single one.
- Search live Google ads by brand name or domain
- Pull an advertiser's Google ads into one feed
- Save creatives to your swipe file
- See run length on every ad
- Read the hook, angle and format AI tags
- See how long each competitor ad has been running
- Export a board to CSV for a client or teammate (paid plans)
- Work on any browser with no extension installed

Why AdEye
One feed, the AI read, the working signal in view
Not a stale doc full of screenshots. One query for a brand, the run length on every creative, and a swipe file worth reopening. Public ad-library data only.
Every Google ad at once
The Google Ads Transparency Center searched by brand or domain, so competitor ad research is one query instead of clicking through Google's own viewer.
The AI reads the why
Creatives are tagged with their hook, angle and format on the paid plans, a few per search and kept once read, and a working signal flags the long-runners, so you see why an ad works, not just what it ran.
A swipe file that stays current
Save winners to boards, each keeping its run length and a link back to the original creative on Google, so the file is still useful months later.
