Foreplay pricing is $59 a month for Basic, $175 for Workflow and $459 for Agency. Annual billing lowers those monthly equivalents to $49, $149 and $389. Enterprise has custom pricing. Choose Basic for solo creative research, Workflow for a team that needs tracking and Lens, or Agency for more users and brands. Every paid plan offers a 7-day trial requiring a credit card.

Foreplay focuses on Meta and TikTok creative research, saved ads and briefs. It is not a Google Ads research tool. This guide uses Foreplay's pricing page and its help center's Credits & Pricing guidance, checked in October 2026. The buying decision comes down to users, tracked brands, Lens access and API volume.

How much does each Foreplay plan cost?

The current lineup is Basic, Workflow, Agency and Enterprise. The annual column below is the monthly equivalent when billed annually, not a monthly payment option.

PlanMonthly billingBilled annuallyIncluded usersMain features
Basic$59/mo$49/mo1Swipe File, Discovery and Briefs
Workflow$175/mo$149/mo5Adds Spyder and Lens for 1 brand, with $50 per additional Lens brand
Agency$459/mo$389/mo10Spyder for 50+ brands, Lens for 10 brands, multi-ad account summary
EnterpriseCustomCustomUnlimitedUnlimited usage, priority in-app or Slack support

Extra users cost $20 each on all plans. Enterprise already lists unlimited users, so confirm how that general add-on wording applies to a custom agreement. Do not choose a higher tier just because you need another login. Compare the seat add-on with the features and brand capacity you would actually use.

Older review sites still quote an Inspiration plan at $44 to $49. Existing subscribers can keep legacy plans, but those figures do not describe the current lineup for a new buyer. Use the current plan names when comparing quotes.

Which Foreplay plan should you buy?

Start with the research work your team does. Swipe File, Discovery and Briefs are already in Basic. Paying more makes sense when team access, ongoing brand tracking or Lens becomes part of that work.

  • Basic suits a solo media buyer collecting Meta and TikTok creative references and writing briefs. A solo buyer on Basic annual pays $588 a year.
  • Workflow suits a team that needs Spyder brand tracking and Lens. A 5-person team on Workflow annual pays $1,788 a year.
  • Agency suits agencies needing the included brand capacity, 10 users and a multi-ad account summary. With 12 users on monthly billing, the calculation is $459 + 2 x $20 = $499/mo.
  • Enterprise suits buyers who need unlimited users and usage plus priority in-app or Slack support. Ask sales to define the scope in the quote.

The Workflow page is inconsistent about Spyder capacity. Its plan card says 10+ brands, while the comparison table says 15 brands. Confirm the included limit before subscribing. Lens is separate from Spyder, so a tracked brand does not automatically mean another included Lens brand. Workflow includes Lens for 1 brand and charges $50 per additional brand.

What does Foreplay API pricing include?

Every current, non-legacy plan includes 10,000 API credits per month on monthly billing. Annual plans get 20,000 credits per month granted upfront, totaling 240,000 a year. That is a material difference for a buyer planning recurring data pulls.

API optionIncluded volumePrice information
Current monthly plans10,000 credits per monthIncluded in the subscription
Current annual plans20,000 credits per month, 240,000 granted upfront per yearIncluded in annual billing
Extra credit packs100,000, 250,000 or 500,000 per monthNo public dollar price
Larger accountsPay-as-you-go API via salesContact sales for pricing

One credit retrieves one ad with all its metadata. A query pulling 100 ads uses 100 credits, so 10,000 credits means 10,000 ads per month. Count ads returned rather than requests sent when estimating your budget.

A nightly pull of 500 ads total across 20 brands uses about 15,000 credits a month. That exceeds the monthly plan allowance, even though the request itself may look small. Check whether annual billing covers your expected volume before asking about a credit pack. The packs have no public dollar price, so a larger allowance alone does not tell you the final Foreplay API cost.

According to third-party breakdowns, browsing Discovery, saving ads and creating briefs do not use credits. Keep that distinction in mind when comparing normal creative research with an automated data collection job. Confirm the credit treatment of your intended API workflow before committing to an annual subscription.

How do saved ads become useful creative briefs?

Basic includes Briefs, so you do not need Workflow simply to turn a swipe file into a production brief. During the trial, use real references and see whether your team can explain the hook, offer and creative direction clearly enough for production.

If the next step is turning saved winning ads into AI UGC ad variations, carry the reasoning behind the reference into the brief. Explain which opening, demonstration or objection you want to test rather than treating another advertiser's creative as a script to copy. An ad saved for inspiration is not proof of its performance.

Decide whether your bottleneck is collecting ideas, briefing them or monitoring brands. Basic addresses the research and brief stage. Workflow becomes relevant when Spyder and Lens fit the team's process, and Agency when its users and brand allowances match client work.

What should you check before the free trial ends?

Each paid plan has a 7-day free trial. A credit card is required, and the subscription charges automatically after the trial unless you cancel. Treat the trial as a scheduled evaluation with a cancellation decision before billing begins.

Monthly plans let you cancel anytime. The FAQ also mentions a 14-day money back guarantee after the first charge. Annual plans state no refund on cancellation and no prorated refunds. These statements sit side by side, so buyers should confirm how the guarantee applies to their billing choice before paying.

Use the trial to check your actual brands, shared research process and briefs. If API access is central to the purchase, estimate returned ads as well. Annual billing has a lower equivalent rate and more included API credits, but the cancellation refund terms deserve the same attention as the discount.

How does Foreplay compare with rival prices?

Compare the job before the entry price. Foreplay combines creative research and briefs for Meta and TikTok. A lower subscription price elsewhere does not establish that a tool has the same workflow or channel coverage.

ToolPrice
AdEye$60/mo or $30/mo billed yearly; Google Search, Shopping, Display, YouTube; one-time demo
Gethookd$29/mo Starter
Minea$49 Starter
BigSpy$69/mo Starter
AdSpy$149/mo flat
AdSpyder$10 to $99/mo

Our ad spy tool cost guide puts those prices in context. Read the Gethookd pricing and Minea pricing guides if those tools are on your shortlist. Compare the plan you would buy, including users and required features, rather than just the cheapest advertised tier.

When should you use AdEye alongside Foreplay?

If your competitors spend on Google Search, Shopping, YouTube and Display, Foreplay does not cover that research. AdEye looks up a rival by domain in Google's Ads Transparency Center and shows its live Google ads sorted by run length. It answers a different question from collecting Meta and TikTok creative references.

AdEye plans cost $60, $99, $300 and $600 a month, or $30, $49.50, $150 and $300 per month billed yearly. The Google Ads spy tool page offers a one-time demo. Many teams run both tools because their competitors advertise across social and Google. The Foreplay alternative comparison helps you decide which research you need.

What do buyers ask about Foreplay pricing?

How much does Foreplay cost?

Foreplay costs $59, $175 or $459 a month for Basic, Workflow or Agency. Annual billing makes those rates $49, $149 or $389 per month. Enterprise uses custom pricing. Extra users cost $20 each, so compare your team size and required brand capacity before choosing a tier.

Does Foreplay have a free trial?

Yes. Each paid Foreplay plan offers a 7-day free trial with a credit card required. The subscription charges automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel. Use that time to evaluate real research and briefs, and make your billing decision before the trial expires.

How much does the Foreplay API cost?

The API is included in current, non-legacy plans, with 10,000 monthly credits on monthly billing. Annual plans include 20,000 per month, granted upfront as 240,000 yearly. Each credit retrieves an ad with metadata. Extra packs have no public dollar price, and larger accounts can request pay-as-you-go pricing from sales.

Does Foreplay offer refunds?

The FAQ mentions a 14-day money back guarantee after the first charge. Monthly plans allow cancellation anytime, while annual plans say no refund on cancellation and no prorated refunds. Because these statements sit side by side, confirm which terms apply to your chosen billing period before subscribing.

Is Foreplay worth it for agencies?

Yes, when Meta and TikTok creative research, briefs and the included brand capacity fit the agency's work. Agency costs $459 monthly or $389 per month billed annually, with 10 users, Spyder for 50+ brands and Lens for 10 brands. Google competitor research still needs a separate tool.
