Gethookd pricing runs from $19 to $129 a month. Billed monthly, Starter is $29, Pro $49, Team $79 and Agency $129. Billed yearly, the same plans work out to $19, $32, $52 and $83 a month. Every plan gets the same library of about 13 million live Meta ads and a 7-day trial at $0. What changes between tiers is seats (1, 3, 5 or 10), monthly credits (50, 150, 400 or 800), Clone Ads (Pro and up) and AI agent access (Team and up). Gethookd covers Facebook and Instagram only, so it shows none of a competitor's Google, YouTube or TikTok ads.

Most of the pages ranking for this question still describe an older lineup called Launch, Grow and Scale at $19, $59 and $149. Those plan names are gone from Gethookd's pricing table. The $19 figure survives only as the yearly rate for Starter, which is why so many reviews quote a cheaper entry price than the one you see when you pick monthly billing. Everything below comes from Gethookd's own pricing section and refund policy.

How much does Gethookd cost?

Gethookd costs $29 to $129 a month on monthly billing, or $19 to $83 a month on a yearly plan, which Gethookd describes as saving about 35 percent. There are four tiers. The ad library is identical on all of them; you are paying for people, credits and two features.

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearly (per month)SeatsCreditsUnlocks
Starter$29$19150 a month (600 a year)Library, filters, boards, Brand Spy
Pro$49$323150 a month (1,800 a year)Adds Clone Ads
Team$79$525400 a month (4,800 a year)Adds AI agent access, API and MCP on monthly billing
Agency$129$8310800 a month (9,600 a year)Same features as Team, more seats and credits

Over a year, the gap between billing options is real money. Team on monthly billing costs $948. Team on yearly billing costs about $624. Agency is $1,548 monthly against roughly $996 yearly. The catch is that yearly plans are non-refundable, which matters more than the discount if you are not sure the coverage fits your niche (more on that below).

What does each Gethookd plan include?

Gethookd states plainly that the 13 million ads are the same on every tier. Searching and browsing the library does not use credits. Credits are spent on actions such as generating Clone Ads and other AI work, so a buyer who mostly reads ads can live on a small allowance, while a team generating statics every day will burn through 50 credits quickly.

Starter is one person with the full library, filters for niche, format and runtime, boards and a swipe file, and Brand Spy for tracking named competitors. It suits a solo founder or freelancer who wants to watch a handful of rival brands on Meta.

Pro adds Clone Ads, the feature that turns a winning static into new variations, plus three seats and 150 credits. For a small DTC brand where the founder, a media buyer and a designer all need access, Pro is where the per-seat cost becomes reasonable.

Team is the first plan where you can connect an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor or Perplexity) to the library and ask questions in plain English. Gethookd's own FAQ calls out the most common sign-up mistake: people who came for the AI connection buy Starter or Pro, which cannot do it. If that is why you are looking, start on Team.

Agency keeps Team's features and doubles the credits to 800 a month with 10 seats. Gethookd also sells extra seats and credit packs, though their prices are not shown on the public pricing table.

One detail on API access: API and MCP access is included with every yearly plan, but on monthly billing only Team and Agency get it. A developer who wants programmatic access cheaply can get it on yearly Starter at $19 a month, which is unusual in this category.

Does Gethookd have a free trial?

Yes. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial at $0, and you enter card details at checkout. If you cancel before the seven days end, you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription starts and your card is billed for the plan you picked. Gethookd does not offer a permanent free plan.

Use the trial to answer one question: does the library hold ads from your niche and your actual competitors? Gethookd is candid that coverage is thinnest in smaller countries and in service and info niches, and its fix is a Chrome extension that pulls a brand into the library when you save one of its ads from Meta's Ad Library. Search your own competitors on day one. If they are missing, you have your answer before any money moves.

Can you get a refund from Gethookd?

Only on your first charge, and only quickly. Gethookd's refund policy gives a full refund if you ask within 24 hours of the first charge after the trial and have not used the platform. Between 24 and 48 hours with no usage, it offers 50 percent as goodwill. After 48 hours, or if you have used the product, there is no refund, though pause, downgrade or a discount may be offered instead.

Usage is defined broadly: searching ads, tracking brands, generating Clone Ads or consuming credits all count. Later monthly charges are non-refundable, yearly plans are non-refundable (a pro-rata refund is considered only in exceptional cases), credit packs are generally non-refundable, and each account gets one refund at most. Cancelling is self-serve under Settings, Subscription, Cancel Subscription, and access continues until the end of the period you paid for. You can also pause for up to three months instead of cancelling.

In practice the trial is your refund window. Decide inside those seven days, and be cautious about choosing yearly billing before you have confirmed coverage.

What Gethookd does not cover

Gethookd is a Meta tool. Its FAQ answers "Is this Meta only?" with a plain yes: Facebook and Instagram ads, with TikTok not included. It also says it does not estimate revenue or ad spend, and shows only what is observable in Meta's public library, such as which ads are live, how long each has run and how many a brand has running.

That is an honest scope, and for many ecommerce brands Meta is most of the budget. But if your competitors also run Google Shopping, Search, Display or YouTube campaigns, Gethookd shows you none of it. For brands selling products with real search demand, that hidden half is often where the steady, high-intent spend sits. You can see a rival's live Google ads in the tool at the top of this page, or read how a Google Shopping ads spy tool fills that gap for ecommerce teams.

Gethookd vs Minea, Pipiads, Winning Hunter and AdEye on price

Gethookd is one of the cheapest paid Meta ad libraries on monthly billing, and the cheapest by a distance on yearly billing. Here is how it sits against tools buyers usually compare it with, using each vendor's published monthly prices.

ToolEntry price per monthTop listed planPlatformsBest for
Gethookd$29 ($19 yearly)$129 AgencyFacebook and InstagramMeta research plus AI static variations
Minea$49$199 BusinessFacebook ads and influencer placementsDropshipping product research

Winning Hunter$49$249Facebook; TikTok and Pinterest from $79Store and product spying
AdSpy$149$149, one planFacebook and InstagramAffiliate and media-buyer deep search
AdEye$60 ($30 yearly)$300 AgencyGoogle Search, Shopping, Display and YouTubeThe Google side of a competitor's spend

The detail behind each row is in our Minea pricing, Pipiads pricing and Winning Hunter pricing breakdowns, and the whole category is priced side by side in how much ad spy tools cost.

Gethookd and AdEye are not really competitors. They read different public libraries. A brand that wants the full picture of a rival's paid acquisition would run Gethookd on Meta and AdEye on Google, which together cost $89 a month at the entry tiers on monthly billing.

Which Gethookd plan should you buy?

  • Solo founder or freelancer watching a few Meta competitors: Starter. On yearly billing it is $19 a month and includes API access, but only commit to yearly after the trial confirms coverage.
  • Small DTC team that wants to generate statics from winners: Pro at $49. Clone Ads is the reason to step up, and three seats cover a founder, buyer and designer.
  • Team that wants to query ads from Claude or ChatGPT: Team at $79. Starter and Pro cannot connect an AI agent on any billing cycle.
  • Agency with several clients: Agency at $129 for 10 seats and 800 credits. If you are also running UGC creators for those clients, a UGC platform built for agencies handles the production side that Gethookd's research feeds.

Is Gethookd worth it?

For a brand whose competitors spend mostly on Meta, Gethookd is good value. The entry price is low, the trial is real, the library is shared across tiers rather than rationed, and its scope is stated honestly rather than padded with spend estimates nobody can verify. The AI agent connection on Team is a genuine difference from scroll-only libraries if your team already works in Claude or ChatGPT.

It is worth less if your market is service-based, outside the large ecommerce countries, or split between Meta and Google. In the first two cases, test coverage hard during the trial. In the third, budget for a second tool that covers Google, since Gethookd will not show you a single Search, Shopping or YouTube ad. To see what your competitors run there, the see competitors' Google ads page walks through it, or enter a competitor's domain in the search box at the top of this page.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Gethookd per month?

Gethookd is $29, $49, $79 or $129 a month on monthly billing for Starter, Pro, Team and Agency. On yearly billing the same plans cost $19, $32, $52 and $83 a month, paid upfront. All four include the same library of about 13 million live Meta ads.

Is Gethookd free?

No. There is no permanent free plan. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial at $0, and the card you enter at checkout is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. A free Chrome extension exists, but it adds brands to the library rather than replacing a plan.

What happened to the Gethookd Launch, Grow and Scale plans?

They have been replaced by Starter, Pro, Team and Agency. The old $59 Grow and $149 Scale prices no longer appear on Gethookd's pricing table. Pages still quoting them are out of date, although Gethookd's refund policy text still mentions a Launch plan at $19.

Does Gethookd include TikTok or Google ads?

No. Gethookd's FAQ says it is Meta only, meaning Facebook and Instagram, with TikTok not included. It has no Google Search, Shopping, Display or YouTube ads. For those you need a Google-side tool such as AdEye, which reads Google's public Ads Transparency Center.

Can I cancel Gethookd anytime?

Yes. Cancel under Settings, Subscription, Cancel Subscription. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for and you are not charged again. Cancel before the 7-day trial ends and you pay nothing. Refunds after a charge are narrow: a full refund only within 24 hours of the first charge with no usage.

Which Gethookd plan has the AI agent and API?

AI agent access, which connects Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor or Perplexity to the library, starts on Team. API and MCP access comes with every yearly plan and with Team and Agency on monthly billing, so monthly Starter and Pro do not include it.
