AdClarity costs $129, $289 or $349 a month on its published plans, with an Enterprise tier quoted privately. All three published plans include exactly one geographic market and one seat, and they differ mainly by how many channels you can see and how far the history reaches: 3 months on Basic, 6 on Advanced, 12 on Team. A 7 day free trial is offered. Yearly billing saves up to 10 percent. Verified on adclarity.com in September 2026.
There is a second way to buy the same data that almost nobody mentions, and it changes the maths for a lot of teams. Semrush owns AdClarity and bundles it into the Advertising Pro plan at $220 a month billed annually, which sits below AdClarity's own $289 Advanced tier and comes with Google and Meta campaign tooling attached. Whether that is the better deal depends on one thing, and this page walks through it.
How much does AdClarity cost?
Between $129 and $349 a month for the self-service plans, plus a quote-only Enterprise tier. Here is the published lineup, read from AdClarity's own pricing page in September 2026.
| Plan | Price per month | Channels | History | Reports | Exports |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $129 | One of display, social or video | 3 months | Up to 50 | 5 |
| Advanced | $289 | Display, social and video | 6 months | Up to 100 | 10 |
| Team | $349 | Display, social and video | 12 months | Up to 150 | 10 |
| Enterprise | Quote only | Digital plus linear and connected TV | Since 2018 | Unlimited | Up to 100 |
Two limits sit outside that table and matter more than the price does. Every published plan includes one seat and one geographic market. Unlimited seats and 52 markets appear only on Enterprise. If you are an agency covering three clients in two countries, the self-service ladder does not stretch to you at any price, and you are talking to sales whether you planned to or not.
What is AdClarity, and what does it actually see?
AdClarity is a competitive advertising intelligence platform. It reports what brands are running across display, social and video, how much it estimates they are spending, which placements and publishers the ads landed on, and how that compares against category benchmarks. Semrush acquired it, and it now also powers the competitor ad views inside Semrush's Advertising toolkit.
The channel list on the pricing page is display, social, online video, linear TV, connected TV and AI ads. Paid search text ads are not one of the digital channels the plan table sells. That is not a flaw, it is a category boundary: AdClarity grew out of display and programmatic measurement, and search intelligence is a different discipline sold by different vendors. It does mean that if your competitive question is about Google Search copy, AdClarity is not the tool you are looking for, and the difference between ad intelligence tools is mostly a question of which channel each one was built for.
The other thing to be clear about is data type. AdClarity's spend figures, CPM benchmarks and share of voice numbers are modelled, not measured. Nobody reads a competitor's ad account. Those numbers are reconstructed by sampling ad delivery and inferring backwards, which is standard practice across this entire category and works well for direction and market sizing. Treat them as an order of magnitude rather than a fact, especially for advertisers with heavy brand spend or narrow geographic targeting, which are the two things this kind of modelling reliably under-counts.
Does Semrush include AdClarity?
Yes, on one specific plan. Semrush prices its Advertising toolkit separately from its SEO toolkit, and the Advertising line has two tiers: Base at $99 a month billed annually, and Pro at $220 a month billed annually. Pro is the one that lists AdClarity, along with all competitor ads, display, video and social ads, and competitor landing page views. Base does not include it. Both figures were verified on semrush.com in September 2026.
| Route to AdClarity data | Price | What you also get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| AdClarity Basic, direct | $129 / mo | One channel, 3 months of history, 5 exports | A single market, one channel, occasional checks |
| Semrush Advertising Pro | $220 / mo billed annually | AdClarity plus Google and Meta campaign tooling, competitor keywords, Shopping research | Teams who want ad intelligence and PPC research in one subscription |
| AdClarity Advanced, direct | $289 / mo | Three channels, 6 months of history, 10 exports | Multichannel display work in one market |
| AdClarity Team, direct | $349 / mo | Three channels, 12 months of history, unlimited ad search results | Longer trend analysis in one market |
The decision comes down to history depth. Buying through Semrush at $220 gets you AdClarity plus a large amount of adjacent PPC tooling for less than AdClarity's own $289 tier costs on its own. Buying direct at $289 or $349 gets you the deeper history windows and the higher report and export ceilings. If you need 12 months of display trend data, go direct to Team. If you want competitor creative alongside keyword and Shopping research, the Semrush route is better value, and the full breakdown sits in our Semrush pricing guide.
Does AdClarity have a free trial?
Yes. AdClarity's own FAQ states a 7 day free trial giving access to core features. That is longer than most tools in this category offer and short enough that you should plan the trial before you start it: pick three competitors, one market and one channel, and see whether the placement and spend data tells you something you did not already know from the free platform libraries. Weigh it against the refund windows too, since several rivals skip the trial and offer 30 days to change your mind instead, compared side by side in our guide to which ad spy tools have a free trial.
Worth knowing before you subscribe: AdClarity states that subscriptions are non-refundable, with no prorated refunds, though you keep access to the end of the billing period after cancelling. Billing is in USD, and payment is by major credit card or PayPal. Plan changes go through support rather than a self-service button.
Is AdClarity worth the price?
It is worth it if display, social or video placement data is a recurring part of your job and you work in one market. The placement and publisher detail is the genuinely hard part to get anywhere else, because unlike search and social creative, programmatic display has no public library. Nobody publishes a transparency archive for the open web, so a panel-based vendor is the only route.
It is poor value if what you actually want is competitor ad creative you could read for nothing. Google publishes every ad served on Search, Display, Shopping and YouTube in its Ads Transparency Center. Meta publishes Facebook and Instagram ads in its Ad Library. Both are free, both are authoritative for their own channel, and a great many people pay several hundred dollars a month for a nicer interface onto data they already had access to. The honest question is whether you need modelled spend and placement data, or just the ads. If it is just the ads, start free and see what the gap is.
The seat limit deserves a second mention because it catches agencies out. One seat means one login. Teams who buy an entry plan and then need three people in it end up on Enterprise, and at that point the conversation is a quote. This is also where the export ceilings bite: 5 exports on Basic and 10 on Advanced go quickly if reporting is monthly and multi-client, which is usually when teams start pulling competitor figures and their own performance numbers together and want them to sit in one marketing dashboard rather than in six spreadsheets.
AdClarity alternatives and how the prices compare
Prices below were each read from the vendor's own pricing page between August and September 2026. This category is full of roundups quoting numbers that went stale a year ago, so check the date on anything you read, including this.
| Tool | Entry price | Channel focus | Notable limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| AdClarity | $129 / mo | Display, social, video, TV on Enterprise | One seat and one market on every published plan |
| Semrush Advertising | $99 / mo billed annually | Google and Meta, AdClarity on Pro | AdClarity requires the $220 Pro tier |
| Adbeat | $249 / mo | Display, programmatic, native | Estimated ad spend is gated to Enterprise |
| SpyFu | From $29 / mo | Google Search | Shows ad copy history rather than live creative |
| Similarweb | From $125 / mo | Web traffic, ad intelligence on higher tiers | Similarweb sells its Web Intelligence line at quote-only rates |
| AdEye | $39 / mo, one-time demo of 10 searches | Google Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube | No display panel data and no spend estimates |
Adbeat is the closest direct comparison for display and programmatic, and it opens at twice the price with its spend estimates behind a sales call; the detail is in our Adbeat pricing breakdown. Similarweb overlaps on the market intelligence side rather than on creative, and its plans are covered in our Similarweb pricing guide. For a view across the whole category, including where the free libraries beat the paid tools, see ad spy tool pricing.
What AdClarity cannot tell you
It cannot tell you what a campaign earned. No competitive intelligence platform can, at any price, and the ones that imply otherwise are selling a model as a measurement. It cannot show you a competitor's targeting settings, their bids or their account structure. Its spend figures are estimates that under-count brand campaigns and tightly targeted geographies for structural reasons, not because the vendor is careless.
What it can tell you is where a brand's display money is landing, roughly how the volume moves over time, and what the creative looks like across the channels it covers. That is a real and useful answer to a real question. It is just a narrower question than the category's marketing language suggests, and knowing the boundary before you buy is most of what separates a subscription that pays for itself from one that gets cancelled in month four.
The free starting point most buyers skip
Before committing several hundred dollars a month, spend an afternoon with the public record. Google's Ads Transparency Center holds every ad a verified advertiser is running on Search, Display, Shopping and YouTube, searchable by brand or domain, and each ad carries how long it has been running. That run length is the closest thing to a free performance signal you will find: an ad a competitor has funded for eight months has survived repeated budget reviews, and an ad that lasted three weeks is an experiment they abandoned.
AdEye reads that data and adds what the raw library leaves out: retention after an ad stops, run-length sorting, saved boards, and CSV export on the paid plans. It covers Google only, so Meta's Ad Library remains the right answer for Facebook and Instagram, and AdClarity remains the right answer for programmatic display placement. Paste a competitor domain into the search at the top of this page and see how much of your question the free record already answers. If the gap is real, you will know exactly what you are buying AdClarity for.
