Similarweb (often typed as Similar Web) prices its self-service Web Intelligence plans at $199, $399 and $649 a month billed monthly, or $125, $333 and $542 a month billed annually. Advertising data is only on the top tier: the two cheaper plans list Ad Intelligence as not included. Enterprise pricing is quote-based. Verified on similarweb.com in September 2026.

That is the short version, and it is worth stating plainly because Similarweb restructured its packaging and most articles still quote the old Starter, Professional and Team names. The tier list below comes from the product schema Similarweb publishes on its own pricing page, not from a third-party roundup, so the numbers match what you will be charged.

How much does Similarweb cost? The pricing plans compared

Between $125 and $649 a month for a single seat on the self-service plans, depending on tier and billing cycle. Enterprise contracts are quoted individually and Similarweb publishes no starting figure for them. There are three self-service tiers, each including one user, and the price gap between the bottom and the top is more than five times.

Competitive Intel, SEO, AEO and Ads$649 / mo$542 / mo6 monthsIncluded

Every self-service tier includes exactly one user seat. That detail moves the real cost more than the sticker price does, because a three-person paid media team on the top plan is not paying $649, it is paying for three subscriptions or it is sharing a login.

Which Similarweb plan includes competitor ad data?

Only the $649 a month plan, described by Similarweb as its most comprehensive self-service package and aimed at performance marketers. The two tiers below it spell out Ad Intelligence as not included, in the feature comparison Similarweb publishes itself. If competitor advertising is the reason you are looking at Similarweb at all, the entry price for you is $649 monthly or $542 a month on an annual commitment, not the $125 headline the marketing copy leads with.

This is the single most misread thing about Similarweb pricing. The "from $125" figure is real, but it buys traffic, engagement, demographics and competitor alerts with three months of history. It buys no advertising data whatsoever.

What is Similarweb Ad Intelligence?

Similarweb describes the Ad Intelligence module as creative and campaign insights, search, display and social advertising insights, advertiser demand signals, and ad spend data. Elsewhere on the same page it summarizes the metrics as ad spend, device distribution, ad formats and campaign activity. In practice it is a modeled view of where an advertiser puts money and roughly how much, assembled from observed delivery.

The word doing the work there is modeled. Nobody outside an advertiser's account reads their real spend, so every spend estimate in this category, Similarweb's included, is inferred backwards from what a panel or a crawler observed. That makes it genuinely useful for direction and unreliable at the edges, in predictable ways: brand campaigns get under-counted, tight geographic targeting is close to invisible, and Performance Max is structurally hard to attribute because it never ran on a keyword list.

Does Similarweb have a free trial?

Yes, on the self-service plans. Similarweb's own comparison table lists free trial availability as yes for self-service, and the pricing page carries a start-your-free-trial call to action. Enterprise evaluations go through sales instead, which means a demo and a scoping call rather than a login you can open the same afternoon.

Is Similarweb free?

Not the paid platform. Similarweb sells no free plan of Web Intelligence, though it does run a set of free public tools that answer narrow questions without an account: a website traffic checker, a free keyword tool, free app analytics, a company profile checker, a technology checker, an AI traffic checker and a browser extension. They are useful for a single lookup and deliberately limited. Anything involving history, exports or side-by-side comparison sits behind a paid plan.

How far back does Similarweb data go on each plan?

Three months on the entry Competitive Intelligence plan, six months on both higher self-service tiers. Enterprise agreements go up to 37 months of history. Three months is short for seasonal analysis, and it is the constraint that pushes most serious users up a tier regardless of which modules they wanted, because a quarter of history cannot show you a year-over-year pattern.

Can I switch to annual billing on Similarweb?

Not from inside the product. Similarweb's own FAQ says you have to contact their support team and open a ticket to request the change. Worth knowing before you pick monthly to stay flexible, because the annual discount is substantial: $542 against $649 on the top plan is about 16 percent, and $125 against $199 on the entry plan is roughly 37 percent.

What does Similarweb Enterprise cost?

Similarweb does not publish it. The enterprise package is described as custom and quote-based, starting at ten users, with up to 37 months of history, 100+ countries, MCP access, SSO, expanded data, managed services, dedicated support, custom reporting and data integrations or APIs included. The API is sold this way too, which is why you will not find a per-call rate anywhere on the public site. If you need a number for a budget line before a sales call, you will not get one here.

How much does the Similarweb API cost?

Similarweb publishes no API price either. API access comes inside a custom Business or Enterprise package, or as a standalone API package with no platform subscription, and none of the $199, $399 or $649 self-service plans lists it. Usage is metered in data credits: 1 credit per data point on standard endpoints such as traffic and engagement, 1 credit per 100 data points on keyword endpoints, multiplied by domains, countries, months and granularity. Unused credits expire each billing cycle. Our Similarweb API pricing guide works through the credit math for a 20-competitor project so you can size the quote before the sales call.

Similarweb pricing against the ad-focused alternatives

Similarweb is a digital intelligence platform with an advertising module bolted into the top tier. If competitor ads are the whole job, you are paying for a lot of adjacent product. Prices below were each verified first-party on the vendor's own site on the date shown.

ToolEntry pricePrice for ad dataCoverageVerified

AdEye$39 / mo$39 / moGoogle only, live creative, exactSep 2026

Two of those rows are doing something different from the rest. Adbeat and Similarweb sell modeled spend and placement data. AdEye reads Google's own public transparency records, so what comes back is the advertiser's actual approved creative with the run length Google stamps on it, not an estimate. Neither approach replaces the other, and the price gap mostly reflects how much modeling infrastructure sits behind the number.

Is Similarweb worth it for competitor ad research?

It depends entirely on whether advertising is your only question. At $649 a month for one seat, Similarweb is worth it when you need web traffic, SEO, AI search visibility and advertising in one place and you are the person who reports on all four. Buying the top tier purely to look at competitor ads is expensive per answer, because you are funding three modules you opened once.

The cheaper way to think about it: work out which specific decision the subscription is supposed to improve. Teams often discover the answer is not more data about a competitor at all, and that the same budget spent to improve the pages they already published moves revenue faster than another intelligence seat. If the decision genuinely is about paid search, the honest split is that Google Ads Auction Insights tells you which advertisers you compete with, for free, inside the account you already have, and a transparency-based tool tells you what those advertisers are saying.

Who should buy Similarweb, and who should not

Buy it if you own competitive reporting across channels, need traffic and audience data alongside advertising, and can justify $542 a month per seat on an annual commitment. Buy it if AI search visibility is now part of your remit, because the AEO module is priced into the same bundle rather than sold as another subscription. Both higher self-service tiers track 150 AI prompts. Similarweb also sells a standalone AEO Intelligence plan under its AI Search Intelligence product at $129 a month, or $99 a month billed annually, with one seat and three months of history, if that is the only piece you want.

Skip it if your question is narrow and recurring: which ads is this competitor running on Google right now, and how long have they been live. That job does not need modeled spend, and paying $649 a month to answer it is poor value. Our roundup of how much ad spy tools cost covers the cheaper end, Sensor Tower pricing covers the quote-only enterprise end, and SpyFu pricing is the closest thing to a budget option with real Google history, and Semrush pricing covers the other platform that now sells its advertising data separately, and AdClarity pricing covers the display and programmatic panel Semrush bundles into its Advertising Pro plan. If you want the whole category side by side, ad spy tool pricing lays out what each tier actually buys.

One last note on comparing any of these. Ask of every figure whether it was measured or modeled. Auction Insights and platform transparency records are measured, so you can put them in front of a client without a disclaimer. Spend estimates, keyword lists and share of voice are modeled, and they belong in a research doc rather than a report. AdEye covers Google only, and CSV export is available on the paid plans.
