Sensor Tower publishes no prices. Its pricing page is a demo request form, and the only figure on it is a sentence: pricing is customized for each customer. There is no public plan list, no starting price and no self-serve checkout for the ad intelligence product. A free account exists, but it covers app store data, not the Pathmatics advertising data most buyers arrive for.

That is an unsatisfying answer to a simple question, so this page does two things with it. First, it documents exactly what Sensor Tower does and does not disclose, verified on sensortower.com in August 2026, so you know what you are walking into before you fill in a form. Second, it puts real, published numbers from the competitors next to it, because the useful question is rarely what Sensor Tower costs in isolation. It is whether a quote-only enterprise contract is the right shape for the job you actually have.

How much does Sensor Tower cost?

There is no published number. Sensor Tower's pricing page carries one line about cost, and it reads: we customize pricing plans for each customer, get in touch to find your perfect fit. Everything else on that page is a form. No tier names, no per-seat rate, no minimum contract value and no billing unit are disclosed anywhere on the public site.

This is normal for the enterprise end of this category and it is worth naming plainly rather than filling the gap with a guess. Numbers do circulate on third-party blogs and aggregator sites. None of them are confirmed by Sensor Tower, most are undated, and several contradict each other. We are not going to reprint them here as if they were facts, for the same reason we would not quote a competitor's revenue from a forum post.

Does Sensor Tower publish its pricing?

No. The page at sensortower.com/pricing does not list prices at all. It resolves to a demo request titled around gaining a competitive edge in the global digital economy, and the entire page below the headline is a lead capture form plus a product tour.

The form is worth reading before you start typing, because it is more demanding than most. It asks for first name, last name, company name, job title, email address and mobile phone number, all marked required, plus a dropdown for which product you want. There is no way to see a price without handing over a direct phone line and a job title. If you are a two-person team doing a quick vendor scan, that friction is the real cost of the evaluation.

What is included in a Sensor Tower subscription?

Sensor Tower is not one product, it is a suite, and which pieces you buy is a large part of what determines the quote. The product dropdown on the pricing form is the cleanest public statement of how the company divides its own catalog.

ProductWhat it covers
Mobile App DataApp downloads, revenue, active users, retention, ratings and reviews, impressions, top advertisers and creatives
Digital Advertising Data / Retail Media (Pathmatics)Ads served, spend and impression estimates, share of voice, retail media strategies across key channels
Audience InsightsWhich apps consumers interact with and which ads they are seeing
Web InsightsAudience, total visits, unique users and unique visitors across desktop and mobile web
Video Game InsightsSteam, PlayStation and Xbox titles, units sold, revenue, daily and monthly active users, wishlists
PlaylinerLive ops and game deconstructions, engagement, retention, updates, events and offers
Gen AIGenerative AI referral traffic, prompts and the platforms driving brand visibility
MCP ServerNatural language access to the data through a chatbot, live as of 2026

The MCP server is the newest piece and it is the one most competing articles have not caught up with. Sensor Tower now exposes its data through a Model Context Protocol integration, so an analyst can ask for figures in plain language from inside an AI assistant instead of building a report. If you are comparing vendors in 2026 and that matters to your workflow, it is a genuine point of difference.

Is Pathmatics the same as Sensor Tower?

Pathmatics is Sensor Tower's digital advertising product, not a separate company you can buy from independently. On the current pricing form it appears as one option, labelled Digital Advertising Data slash Retail Media, with Pathmatics named in brackets. If you searched for Pathmatics pricing and landed on a Sensor Tower demo form, that is why.

This matters for budgeting. Buying the ad intelligence you came for means buying into the Sensor Tower commercial process, with its quote, its sales cycle and its contract length. You are not signing up for a standalone advertising tool with a card.

Does Sensor Tower have a free plan?

There is a free account, and it is easy to misread. Signing up at app.sensortower.com gets you app store oriented features: alerts to track your own apps, deeper app store optimization insight and additional category rankings. It is genuinely useful if your work is mobile publishing.

It is not a free tier of the advertising product. Nothing in that free account gives you Pathmatics creative, spend estimates or share of voice, which is what somebody researching competitor advertising is looking for. Treat the free account as a mobile app tool that happens to share a login, not as a way to sample the ad intelligence.

How do you get a Sensor Tower quote?

You submit the demo form with your name, company, job title, email and mobile number, pick a product from the dropdown, and wait for a sales call. Sensor Tower confirms after submission that the team will be in touch to schedule a call. There is no instant quote, no pricing calculator and no published rate card at any point in that flow.

Plan the evaluation accordingly. If you need a number this week to finish a budget, a quote-only vendor is a poor fit for the deadline no matter how good the data is. Vendors that print prices let you size the line item in an afternoon.

What drives the price of a Sensor Tower quote?

Sensor Tower does not disclose its pricing model, so anything specific would be invention. What can be said honestly is which variables the public product structure implies: how many of the eight product lines you take, whether you need the advertising and retail media data or only app store data, how many seats, and whether you want API and MCP access rather than the interface alone. Geographic and category coverage is the other usual lever in this category.

The practical consequence is that a Sensor Tower contract behaves like a data platform subscription rather than a tool licence. It lands in the same budget line as the rest of your recurring software spend, and finance will ask what it returns before they ask what it costs. Have that answer ready, because with a quote-only vendor you cannot lead with the price.

What are the alternatives to Sensor Tower?

Several vendors in adjacent parts of this market do publish prices. These were each verified first-party on the dates shown, which matters because prices in this category drift and most roundups quote figures that went stale a year ago.

If you want the full spread including the creative swipe tools, we keep a running ad spy tool pricing comparison with the billing unit each vendor actually charges on, which is usually more decisive than the headline number. The dedicated breakdowns for Adbeat pricing and Adthena pricing go tier by tier.

Is Sensor Tower worth it?

It depends on how many of those eight product lines you would actually use. Sensor Tower is built for organizations that need mobile app economics, web audience data and cross-channel advertising estimates in one place, and that genuinely is hard to assemble from point tools. Large publishers, gaming studios, agencies with mobile-heavy clients and brand teams doing category-level share of voice work get real value from the breadth.

If you need one narrow thing, the breadth is what you are overpaying for. A team that only wants to know what a competitor's ads say this week is buying a platform to answer a question a focused tool answers for a published monthly price. That is the honest split, and it is the reason we do not pretend to compete with Sensor Tower on scope.

Sensor Tower vs Adbeat vs Adthena on price transparency

Three enterprise-leaning vendors, three different postures. Adbeat prints two of its three prices, so you can size the decision without a call. Adthena prints prices for two newer point products and quotes its core paid search platform. Sensor Tower prints nothing at all.

Transparency is not the same as value, and a quote-only vendor is not doing anything improper. But it does change the evaluation sequence. With published prices you can rule a tool in or out before you spend a week of calendar time. With a quote you commit to the sales process first and find out whether it was affordable afterwards, which is why quote-only vendors tend to be evaluated last by small teams and first by enterprise procurement.

Who should buy Sensor Tower, and who should not

Buy it if you are an enterprise with mobile apps in the mix, a real research function, and questions that span app downloads, web audiences and advertising spend estimates at once. Buy it if you need modeled share of voice across channels and you have the budget process to absorb a quoted contract.

Skip it if your question is narrow and recurring: which ads is this competitor running on Google right now, and how long have they been running. That specific job is what Google Ads competitor analysis tools handle directly, and for a priced alternative at the platform end of the market our breakdown of Similarweb pricing shows what published numbers look like, reading Google's own public transparency records rather than modeling anything. AdEye covers Google only, and CSV export is available on the paid plans. If your interest is display and native inventory instead, a display ads spy tool is the closer fit, and our note on how much ad spy tools cost covers the rest of the market.

One last practical point on any modeled advertising data, Sensor Tower's included. Nobody outside an advertiser's account reads their real spend. Every spend and share of voice figure in this category is inferred from observed ad delivery, which makes it directionally useful and wrong at the edges in predictable ways. Ad creative taken from a platform's own transparency records is exact, because it is the advertiser's own published ad. Knowing which of those two kinds of data you are looking at is worth more than any price comparison on this page.
